RSS2Necho is now RSS2Atom

Following the news of changes to the feed validator to bring it up to speed with the latest Echo/(n)echo/Pie/Atom standard, I have made a few changes to the program I developed to create feeds for the new format from RSS. Here’s a quick list of changes:

• Changed name from RSS2Necho to RSS2Atom
• New parser is now at http://www.tnl.net/channels/rss2atom/ instead of the previous URL. No changes will be made to the previous version anymore.
• Added and to the list of attribute in an item. If the initial feed includes a properly formatted date (as in dc:date fields in RSS 1.0), it will pick up that one. Otherwise, it will take the current date.
• Ensured that feeds still validate

So there, enjoy… As always, the way it works is that you take your feed (for example, http://www.foo.com/myrss.xml and append it to the RSS2Atom URL (in this example, it would be http://www.tnl.net/channels/rss2atom/http://www.foo.com/myrss.xml ).
