Before the Internet revolution, this book was supposed to be the seminal description of what we were about. However, I never managed to see anyone I knew in the characters depicted: as one of the first twentysomethings to take to the Internet, I felt we were a generation of doers, not slackers. However, this book remains an interesting historical oddity.
