A good history of media up to that date and the move from atoms (non-digital information) to bits (digital information). Negroponte demonstrated some prescient insights in this book about the transformation of media exchange and the beginning of the information age. While it may seem dated by now, it’s a good introduction to the information economy and the difference between analogue and digital data.
