TNL.net improved search

For those of you actu­ally using the site instead of read­ing this via a news­reader, I would like to announce that the site now has a new search capa­bil­ity. Among some of the changes in that new pack­age are

• ditched the Google search to imple­ment my own: This increases the flex­i­bil­ity in terms of pre­sen­ta­tion and allows me to pro­vide more metadata
• Mod­i­fied Search algo­rithm to bet­ter group pages: This is largely based on the orga­ni­za­tion of the site, some­thing that Google does not seem to recognize
• Abil­ity to sub­scribe to a search via RSS, which means another part of the site is now syndicated!

I plan to con­tinue improv­ing that sec­tion of the site to give users more flex­i­bil­ity but thought you would enjoy it.
