Netscape Communications Corp., maker of the popular Netscape Navigator Web browser, has introduced and Internet tools suite that includes a dialer, registration package, and a separate electronic mail program.
The software allows new users to register quickly with a variety of Internet service providers, including MCI, Netcom, Portal, and some smaller companies.
The Netscape Navigator Personal Edition, which retails for $49, includes the freeware version of Qualcomm’s Eudora e-mail software, the latest version of the Netscape Web browser, and online and well as paper documentation. It is being sold in retail stores and by Netscape.
The program currently is available only in a Windows 3.1 version; Macintosh and Windows 95 versions are planned for the end of the year. For more information, call (415) 528-2555 or browse to http://www.netscape.com
